竹林寺办佛教论坛邀外地教授主讲  2010-07-26 联合早报   竹林寺将在本 星期六（31日）起举办两天的佛教论坛，免费公开让公衆到来听讲。   这个主题为 “佛法与现代社会”的精英论坛，邀请台湾玄奘大学宗教学系教授兼系主任昭慧法师及七位佛学教授前来演讲。昭慧也是玄奘大学的文理学院院长，讲题为“台湾佛 教社会运动现况评析—以反赌运动为例”。   其他七位主讲 者为：美国哥伦比亚大学宗教系教授于君方、中国社会科学院世界宗教研究所杂志社长黄夏年教授、美国欧亚大学校长龚鹏程教授、台湾佛光大学佛教学系助理教授 刘国威、中国上海复旦大学哲学学院副教授刘宇光、马来西亚孝恩文化基金会执行长王琛发教授，台湾玄奘大学宗教学系教授黄运喜。   西北区市长张 俰宾受邀担任该论坛的主宾。张俰宾也是该寺顾问。   论坛在武吉巴 督西5道的竹林寺冷气讲堂举行，星期六从上午9时进行至下午5时，星期日（8月1日）从上午9时进行至下午1时。   主办机构将提 供免费巴士载送听衆往来武吉甘柏地铁站与竹林寺之间，并免费供应餐饮。电话：66657566。
